Screening camps and surgical therapies for children with disabilities
Sparsh Vachana is an initiative by the Sparsh Hospital. Under this initiative, 30 Surgeons from India and across the globe dedicate their time to perform 200 operations within 7 days benefiting the less fortunate children.
On 22 Oct 2018, Sparsh in collaboration with APD conducted screening camps in rural areas and identified 35 children with disabilities from families with a poor economic background. Out of these 35 children, 27 children attended the Vachana inauguration function on 14 November (International Children’s Day) in Sparsh Hospitals at Yeshwantpur, Bangalore.
Sparsh plans to conduct complex surgeries, post-surgical physiotherapies for 19 children. APD provides mobility-aids and will do follow-ups for these children.
