Story of Change
Lakshmi's* story is a testament to the impact that access to education and training can have on an individual and their community. Forced into an early marriage, Lakshmi was unable to pursue further education and felt disheartened by the opportunities her peers were able to pursue. However, thanks to the support of her husband and the training provided by BRDO, with the support of Mindtree Foundation, Lakshmi was able to acquire the skills necessary to secure a job as a fresher in a company.
This training not only provided Lakshmi with a new source of income, but it also gave her the flexibility to work from home, allowing her to balance her work and family responsibilities. As a result, Lakshmi is now able to contribute to her family's financial stability while also being an active member of her community.
