Project Achievements
- 60 youths were trained in Sewing machine operations and textile machine operations.
- Sign language training and basic computer literacy are covered apart from on-job training in live units.
- 51 candidates are currently working in SP Apparels, GramTarang, Flipkart and Reliance Smart.
- 5 candidates have opened their own tailoring unit and are self employed.
Story of Change
Mitanjali Sahoo lives in Nayagarh, Odisha. Her father is a carpenter and mother is a homemaker. She has two younger siblings, her younger brother is a Gold repairman. She joined a Normal/Hearing School at Nayagarh from class I to X. She failed HSC in 2015. She stayed as unemployed in her home last 4 years ago. She got admitted to High School for the Deaf at Cuttack in 2018. She passed HSC in 2019. She also joined NIOS for 12th class from Centurion and cleared it in Jan 2021. Now she is undergoing LTIMindtree sponsored Sewing Machine Operator training at Centurion University and doing a fantastic progress. She will definitely get a job in garment making.
