Story of Change
Pushpa* a resident of Alanahalli Hadi for many years, lived with her husband Masthu (name changed) and their family of five. They struggled to make ends meet, relying on their daily wages to survive.
With only a single lamp to rely on, Pushpa and her children were forced to do their homework and cook in the dim light. Even going to the toilet was a challenge, as they had to brave the darkness or ask Masthu to accompany them.
However, their situation took a turn for the better when the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Mindtree Foundation installed rooftop solar in their village. The rooftop solar was a game-changer for the entire village, providing a reliable source of energy that they had never experienced before.
Pushpa was overjoyed at the difference it made in her family's life. The rooftop solar brought newfound security and comfort to their lives, and they were grateful to SVYM and Mindtree Foundation for making it possible.
