Story of Change
Siddudhal is a student studying in 2nd PU at Karnataka Public School, B Matakere. He belongs to the indigenous tribe (betta kuruba). SVYM team conducted a house visit to verify the details of Siddudhal after receiving the application for the scholarship. His father is working as an agricultural labour. Siddudhal’s mother passed away when he was 6 years old due to a heart attack. Being a widower, Siddudhal’s father was not able to support the child as a mother would. With the help of his relative Siddudhal’s father got him admitted to the Ekalavya residential school of Metikuppe, H.D Kote taluk, Mysuru District. The incident of losing his mother made Siddudhal determined of becoming the first doctor from his community.
He holds a first class in 10th std (SSLC) board exam & is currently pursuing his pre-university course at Karnataka Public School, B Matakere in science stream (PCMB). With the help of the scholarship amount, he has been able to pay for his college fee & uniform. He has bought study materials (manuals & record books). He has saved some amount to enrol for a computer course during vacation after his final exam.
